April Fly Out: KMRB

On Saturday, April 3rd five of the DC99s headed from Montgomery County (KGAI) to Martinsburg, West Virginia (KMRB) to grab a bite at Crosswinds Cafe. On the departure day the sun was shining and the winds were light and variable, making it a perfect day to take to the skies. Three members of the group hopped into a Piper Warrior and another two packed into a Socata Tobego to make the trek.

Martinsburg turned out to be a great stop. The FBO was very hospitable: fuel service was quick & friendly, and free t-shirts are offered to first time visitors. There is a small museum located on site, and the restaurant is conveniently located right upstairs. Certainly an excellent airport to consider if you're looking for a short transit!
